Further growth for real estate team

The real estate department at Sintons has grown further with the appointment of a new specialist to the team.

Ben McMurdo has become a paralegal at the Newcastle-based law firm and adds further capacity and capability to Sintons’ real estate department, which is already among the most sizeable and highly-rated in the North East.

A Newcastle University graduate, Ben will work as a paralegal before starting his training contract with Sintons in 2020, which will see him become a trainee solicitor.

Ben, who competes in Olympic-style weightlifting on a national level in his spare time, will assist the team with matters across the real estate spectrum.

Sintons is known for its real estate specialism and regularly acts in some of the biggest transactions in the North East, as well as regularly acting on a national basis for major clients across a host of specialist sectors including healthcare, ecclesiastical, care, leisure, renewables and energy, and agriculture and estates.

Mark Dobbin, head of real estate at Sintons, said: “Our team is growing strongly and we have made a number of strategic appointments over the past few months which have positioned us very strongly. We have a long-standing reputation as being one of the leading real estate specialists in the North East and beyond, and our continuing progress confirms our place at the forefront of this sector.

“We are very pleased to welcome Ben to the team, who we have no doubt will be a valuable asset in supporting our growth even further.”
