Sintons secures multi-million, eight-figure settlement for young woman seriously injured in road collision
Statement from the mother of X, whose daughter suffered life-changing injuries in a road collision. Sintons has represented X and her family in securing a settlement.
“The past few years have been impossibly difficult. The injuries my daughter suffered in the collision have been absolutely devastating and life-changing for her and our whole family, but she remains the strongest and most amazing person I know and the courage and determination she shows every day are an inspiration to us all.
“This settlement will allow my daughter to start a new chapter in her life. Since this happened, we have had to relocate from the family home into a rented property so my daughter’s complex needs could be met and to accommodate two live-in carers who provide round-the-clock care. She will now be able to move into her ‘forever home’, alongside being able to benefit from the bespoke care and therapy my daughter will need for the rest of her life, which will allow us to look to the future with hope and make plans for the time ahead. We now just want to get on with our lives and look forwards and not backwards.
“My thanks go to John Davis and Kate Nicklin at Sintons, who took over our case two years ago and have secured this settlement for us. They have been absolutely fantastic and hugely supportive, and we will be forever grateful.”
John Davis, one of the UK’s leading serious injury lawyers and consultant in the specialist neurotrauma team at Sintons, said: “This has been a hugely traumatic few years for X and her family and the effect on them all has been beyond description. X continues to overcome the most challenging of circumstances, truly she is an inspiration, and we are pleased to have been able to support her and her family in rebuilding their lives and looking to the future.
“We were appointed to this case two years ago, replacing another law firm who had made limited progress in advancing X’s claim, and we are delighted to have been able to secure a settlement which will provide for her needs for the rest of her life.”
