North East Pharmacy Sector Update returns for 2019

An annual event which brings together the North East pharmacy sector and offers insights from nationally-known figures in the profession is again being held in 2019.

The North East Pharmacy Sector Update has become a must-attend event in the pharmacy calendar and offers analysis of the previous 12 months for the industry while looking ahead to the future.

The event, to be held next month in Newcastle, again has an array of speakers who are known on a national level for their prominence in the profession:

  • Peter Cattee, CEO of PCT Healthcare, chair of AIMp and PSNC’s Funding and Contract Subcommittee, who will discuss topical issues
  • Tony Evans, Head of Pharmacy at Christie & Co, who will update on market demand and values
  • Trudy Gallagher, Head of Purchasing at DE Pharmaceuticals, who will analyse market conditions and look at supply versus demand.

The North East Pharmacy Sector Update is again organised by specialist advisors to the profession Sintons – whose healthcare team is a leading national name – Lloyds Bank and RMT, all of whom will also be presenting at the event to offer insights into the sector from their unique perspectives.

Christopher Welch, partner and pharmacy specialist at Sintons, said: “This event has gained a reputation as a key date in the region’s pharmacy calendar and offers genuine insight from an array of leading professionals nationally. We know from previous years that the quality of their analysis, and the very topical updates they offer, proves invaluable for many attendees.

“We look forward to again welcoming pharmacy professionals from throughout the North East to what is always an extremely popular event, with 2019 looking to be the biggest North East Pharmacy Sector Update yet.”
