Beneficial interest disputes
Many families come to an arrangement about how property is to be held. For example, the legal title to the property might be registered in one member’s name although it is agreed that the beneficial owner is someone else. If this is the case then the legal owner is said to be holding the property on trust for the beneficial owner.
