Experience:

  • Fiona qualified as a solicitor in 2007 specialising in Employment on qualification;
  • Fiona has extended her practice area to Business Immigration;
  • Prior to joining Sintons in 2017, Fiona worked at Eversheds and Ward Hadaway;
  • Fiona provides businesses with advice in relation to internal employment matters having advised on hundreds of queries relating to disciplinaries and grievances, maternity/paternity leave, sickness absence and ill-health, pay, working hours and complex TUPE transfers;
  • Fiona advises Businesses on sponsoring migrant workers. She undertakes sponsorship applications on behalf of employers, provides advice and guidance on issuing certificates of sponsorship, right to work checks and a variety of other Immigration related queries;
  • Fiona has advised both Respondents and Claimants in relation to dozens of Tribunal matters involving a full range of Tribunal claims from more straightforward Unfair Dismissal claims to complex claims of Discrimination;
  • Fiona also regularly presents seminars on a broad range of employment and immigration issues;
  • Fiona is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association.

Outside work Fiona enjoys spending time with her family, reading and running.
