Sintons renews sponsorship of Calvert Kielder’s cycling event
Newcastle-based law firm, Sintons, has renewed its sponsorship of the Calvert Bike event for the second consecutive year.
The bike ride is set against the breath-taking shoreline of Kielder Water and will take place on the 17th May 2020.
Cyclists of all ages and abilities will be able to choose from a 5.5 mile, 11 mile or 26 mile route in order to raise sponsorship funds on behalf of Calvert Kielder, which every year works to provide challenging and adventurous outdoor activities for over 6,000 disabled children and adults together with their family, friends and carers.
John Davis, one of the UK’s leading serious injury lawyers and consultant in Sintons’ specialist neurotrauma team, said: “We are very pleased to be able to give our support to this fantastic event. The ride attracts cyclists, both young and old, from across the whole of the UK, who take the opportunity to cycle in the spectacular surroundings of Kielder Water while also raising funds for a much-loved charity.
“Calvert Kielder has enriched the lives of so many families over the years and we are only too pleased to be able to support their work by offering our backing to this major event. I will be taking part in the Calvert Bike event again this year, alongside several of my Sinton’s’ colleagues, and we look forward to another superb day.”
Sintons has worked closely with Calvert Kielder for a number of years, with its nationally-esteemed personal injury team seeing first-hand the positive impact the charity can have on the lives of people with disabilities.
Peter Cockerill, CEO, at Calvert Kielder, is thrilled with the ongoing support of Sintons as a headline sponsor. He said: “The Calvert Bike event is one of the most important dates in our diary, we love welcoming cyclists from across not only the region but also the whole country!
“Last year alone the event raised £7,102 which has enabled us to invest in our facilities to help ensure the best break for our visitors.
“It is a fun-filled day for cyclists, who can enjoy the challenge whilst also knowing they have made a difference for all the guests who visit Calvert Kielder throughout the year. It’s always a great atmosphere and I can’t wait for May to come around.”
The Calvert Bike event will take place on Sunday 17th May 2020 at Kielder Water & Forest Park. For more information about the event or how to enter click here.
