Sintons appointed to Day One legal panel
The Day One service, run by Leeds Cares, supports patients and their families who have been affected by the most serious of traumatic injuries. It was established in 2014 by patients and staff to address the complex challenges that can arise in such circumstances.
Day One is delivered by the charity Leeds Cares, partner charity to Leeds Teaching Hospitals. Since the service was set up, it has supported hundreds of patients and families from across the UK.
The service is delivered in partnership with trauma clinicians, NHS Trusts and other organisations across Yorkshire and the wider country.
Sintons, which is based in York and Newcastle, won a place on the legal panel for Day One following a competitive tender. The law firm is known for its combination of legal excellence and exceptional personal service, which has seen it become one of the most highly-esteemed and trusted names in serious injury work.
The firm’s neurotrauma team – part of Sintons’ personal injury department, which is consistently ranked as top tier by independent legal guides – acts for clients across the UK and is regarded as being one of the leaders in its field.
Phil Davison, head of the personal injury team at Sintons, said: “Day One is an outstanding service for patients who are in hospital, and their families, at a time when they need it most, offering bespoke support which has helped so many people during hugely traumatic times.
“Their approach to supporting patients and their families is something we share at Sintons. We fight hard on behalf of our clients to achieve the package of care and rehabilitation which is tailored to their exact needs, while delivering a caring and personal service to help guide patients and their families through the most distressing and difficult of times.
“We are delighted to be working with Leeds Cares and the Day One team, and to be able to use our experience and expertise to help them, their patients and families.”
