Objection to deputy / Removal of deputy
You may be concerned about the application of a person to be appointed as a deputy for a person lacking capacity to manage their own financial affairs or wish to apply for the removal of a deputy already appointed. It could be that you feel a deputy is not needed at all.
The Court of Protection can revoke the appointment of a deputy if it is satisfied that the deputy has behaved, is behaving, or is proposing to behave in a way that would contravene their authority as deputy. A deputy can also be removed if they have behaved, are behaving, or proposing to behave in a way that would not be in the best interests of the person whose affairs they are managing.
